in honor of the King of Pop, who is no longer with us. I remember "Thriller", 4th grade (?) those are days to be remembered.
It's odd because just the other day some of were talking about MJ. I can't remember who it was but they didn't even know about the Pepsi commercial incident. I forget that some of these people that I work with are just "kids".

This link takes you to an article about an upcoming movie. Yeah, it's going to be in 3-D also.
And here is the Wikipedia entry.
Should be good.

Today...
Some of us started the briefings that we are required to have before going home. A few of these classes are to help us socially integrate back into society after being gone for so long.
The problem is that I was never very well socially adept to begin with.

There was a post 5k race today. Lately I have been working out twice a day with tons of cardio so I wanted to run it in 24 minutes. I didn't go 24 flat but I was very pleased with a time of 24:33. I decorated the back of a tan t-shirt and wore it for the race. It said "HAPPY 234th BIRHTDAY". (Possible pictures later on). I always try and celebrate the Army's Birthday somehow. I also allowed myself to have some chocolate chip cookies after dinner in honor of the day. I was going to have cake but in the end I went with cookies.
We had some company softball games today. I wasn't going to play but one of the teams were a few players short so I ended playing. Earlier in the deployment my wife had sent my glove but I hadn't used it yet. WHen they had the softball league it seemed like all that happened was people wanted to argue about the rules and lineups so that it didn't seem fun to me. I thought this would be low key and fun. And it was. I started off as third base but we had to make some adjustments and I ended up playing second most of the games. We played two games and lost both but we hadn't ever practiced as a team and one or two of the teams practice three or four times a week.
Ended the evening with church. I read a long section out of the lesson book which is unusual for me to volunteer to do anything like that but when there are only 8 people there I guess we all need to participate.
A real good day overall.

Move Over Lance!
Alternate title that is a random movie quote - Die you Nazi Spin B#tch!
OK, I have never been a really big fan of the stationary bike. If I am going to go to the gym and do cardio I am going to use the treadmill and rarely a stair climber, depending on the model.
Keeping that in mind, last night I thought I would ride the bike for a bit. Switch up the routine a bit. I'm getting two workouts in a day and sometimes after the morning one I need something more low key.
Yesterday morning I ran up Signal Hill. The landscape here is very flat so there is a hill that was constructed for radio antennas and such. I sprinted up it, and would jog back down. 8 times.
I figured that the bike might be a good workout without completely destroying my legs. So I hopped on it, turned on the iPOD (Linkin Park) and started pedaling. 30 minutes later, drenched with sweat I finished. I don't know why but itwas enjoyable. I think that maybe I'm going to make it part of my regular routine.

I Got Nothin'
I didn't post about D-Day, I haven't posted about my school schedule, I've gotten almost no sleep over the past week and I have also completely lost my desire to eat. I've lost weight. I've lost enough that people are commenting. I haven't posted about work, politics, sports, the environment or anything else that I might usually post about.
I did write poety. a bit.
